Women\u2019s economic empowerment is a cornerstone of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Entrepreneurship 2020 plan. Even though data regarding women\u2019s careers and life balance and women\u2019s multiple roles and their coping strategies and mechanisms has been more prominent over the past three years, there are still major misconceptions regarding mothers in the workplace especially when referring to disadvantaged mothers, single mothers, migrant mothers, mothers with social needs.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The role of these misconceptions is evident in the amount of companies reducing their expectations to hire working mothers. There is evidence that the care of children plays a crucial role in mothers\u2019 and households\u2019 labor supply decisions: European data demonstrate that in 2017, the employment rate of women with children aged 6 or less was 64.6% in the EU as opposed to 79% for women without children. Despite strong legislation and in some cases, enhanced organizational benefits, one in three women, find it difficult or very difficult to return to work after maternity leave.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Since the main target groups of this project were mothers and VET trainers (who also need taylor-made material) O3 was dedicated to provide a toolkit for entrepreneurship which was addressed to them and their needs and challenges, in order to help them envision and develop their career and overcoming the obstacles they face. The main aims of O3 were to enable development of entrepreneurial mindset, strengthen the soft skills of leadership, and promote inclusion of mothers in entrepreneurship. O3 provided mothers practical instruction in opportunity recognition, commercializing a concept, managing resources, communicating, and initiating a business venture.<\/span><\/p>

IO4- the mobile\/tablet game aimed to motivate mothers through role models and introduced them in entrepreneurship to envision themselves as mumpreneurs. It was also suitable for the needs of our target group and the lack of free time they experience.<\/span><\/p>

The gamified mobile\/tablet application acted as an educational tool for mothers. It allowed them in a relaxing and gamified environment to learn about role-models, mumpreneurs, and entrepreneurial tools and concepts.<\/span><\/p>

STANDO is a research and educational organisation, dedicated to the advancement of research and innovation and is, at the same time, an approved VET Centre (VET provider).It actively participates in the planning and implementation of national and international projects, aiming at providing innovative solutions that facilitate the development of people and the cohesion of societies. Its strength primarily lies in a highly qualified team and its extended network of international partners.
